Rio Tinto completes its $6.7bn purchase of Arcadium Lithium

Arcadium holders received $5.85 a share in cash, and the business became Rio Tinto Lithium. The new unit aims to lift capacity to more than 200,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent a year by 2028. It was Rio’s largest deal in more than a decade.
